　　About 40 kilometers east to Sanya, there is a small island living on the sea which has an area of 1.48 square kilometers and looks primitive as mountain, sea and forest remaining their natural conditions. That is Wuzhizhou Island. It is recorded that in the Qing Dynasty, a Taoist traveled to the island and considered it is a lucky place. Later, the local officials raised funds to build a temple on the island which is the only historic site.

In he morning, when the sun rises, the island looks like a big jasper on the sea. There are about 2,000 kinds of plants because it is rich in fresh water. The artificial island and the shore are linked by a bridge 280 meters long, called the Puji Bridge. There is the Guanyin Square at the other end of the Bridge on the shore, which occupies the area of 60 thousand square meters. It is a complex construction of the Square and large theme parks are on both sides of it. The area as a whole is called Guanyin Park, occupying an area of 300 thousand square meters.
