　　Reduce Waste on Campus

　　Nobody could have failed to notice the fact that wasting has become a grave problem in many campuses. In the dining hall, much food are left in the plates and dumped into the trash can. In the classroom, blank or half blank pieces of paper are left on the desks. In the dorm building, taps are left open and water left running or dripping all the time. And there can be more such examples.

　　In view of the expanding population and the shortage of various resources, wasting is really a harmful habit. It put strains on the already short supply of food, water, electricity and the like. Besides, it goes against traditional virtue of hard work and simple living and may leads to a luxurious life style, which is dangerous to the souls of mankind.

　　Therefore, it is high time that we take steps to stop wasting. We should start from trifles around ourselves: remember to turn off the tap when we finish washing; try to order the exact amount of food we can consume; never throw away any blank or half blank pieces of paper. And always remember, a penny saved is a penny earned.

　　In my opinion, online open course is useful and we should make use of it to broaden our horizons. But we should also remember to have our own thinking and not be brainwashed by improper ideas.

　　今年暑假，媽媽為我報了英語班，是由黑人老外擔任我們的英語老師。我高興極了，心想：跟老外學英語，真是個新鮮事。于是我迫不及待地想要見見黑人老外長什么樣！

　　這一天終于來臨了，一走進教室，只見老師穿著一件白色T恤衫和一條黑色牛仔褲，真是cool！不過他的皮膚真夠黑，像是涂了一層漆。他好像很喜歡我們這群可愛的中國孩子，一直對我們保持微笑，兩個深深的酒渦真好看，還有那一排排整齊的牙齒，在黑皮膚的襯托下顯得格外白。他對我們真的很友好！第一天上課就對我們說：“where are china,where are the best!”意思就是我們是中國人，我們是最棒的！我想老師的意思大概是讓大家明白，做一個中國人感到很自豪！要努力！他上課真的很有趣！記得每節課他都會教我們一首兒歌，為了讓我們學得輕松，老師根據兒歌內容自編了許多不同的動作，有時撅屁股，有時扭扭腰，有時晃胳膊，有時抖動腿，那時我們很興奮得跟他一起做，老師學生融為一體，他更像我們的'大哥哥，真可愛！因為我積極發言，老師很欣賞我，所以他經常高高地豎起大拇指，露出他最燦爛的笑容，對我說：“good！”我開心極了！

　　他對我們真的很有耐心！課堂上他能做到讓每一個孩子輕松回答問題，可以大膽地開口說英語，讓我們感受到原來學英語并不難，就算問題回答錯了也沒有關系，老師依然對我們很溫和，他會耐心地一遍一遍地教，一直教會為止。

　　跟老外已學了一個星期的英語，我覺得很愉快，我希望有一天自己能像他一樣說一口標準而又流利的英語！
