Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen: When I was in the primary school, I have
a dream. I want to invent a device which could bring you from one place to another in no time at all. When I was in the secondary school, my dream was to study in my ideal university. And when eventually I got into the university, my dream was to graduate. How pathetic! When we grow up, we dream less and become more realistic. Why? Why do we have to change our dreams, so ,so in order to let it be “fulfilled”? Why do we have to surrender to the so –called “reality”? What is the reality actually?
Ladies and gentlemen, the reality is not
real. It is a barrier keeping us from all the possible fantasies. Flying, for example, had been a dream to mankind for thousands of
years. A hundred years ago, “man could not fly” was still regarded as the “reality”. Now if that was really the reality, what did the Wright brothers do? How did some of you get to Macao? Only when we believe that the reality
is not real can we soar with our dreams. People say that our future is a battle between the reality and our dreams. And if, unfortunately, Mr. Reality wins this war, then I see no future of mankind at all. AIDS will never be curable as this is the reality; people living in the undeveloped countries will suffer form starvation forever as this is the reality; disputes among different countries would never be settled as this misunderstandings and intolerance is the reality.

Our Future: A Battle between Dreams And Reality Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen:
When I was in the primary school, I have a dream. I want to invent a device which could bring you from one place to another in no time at all. When I was in the secondary school, my dream was to study in my ideal university. And when eventually I got into the university, my dream was to graduate.
How pathetic! When we grow up, we dream less And become more realistic. Why? Why do we have to change our dreams, so, so in order to let it be "fulfilled"? Why do we have to surrender to the so-called "reality"? What IS the reality actually?

A hundred years ago, "man could not fly" was still regarded as the "reality". Now if that was really the reality, what did the Wright brothers do? How did some of you get to Macau? AIDS will never be curable as this IS the reality; People living in the undeveloped countries will suffer from starvation forever as this IS the reality; 4)Disputes among different countries would never be settled as this misunderstandings And intolerance IS the reality.
Ladies And gentlemen, how many of you have a dream of being able to make a lot of money? Please raise your hands. Oh, quite a number of you! Actually, ladies And gentlemen, this is not a dream, but a task. Every one of us has to make a living, right? Anyway I hope your task will be accomplished. How many of you think that you have already fulfilled your dream And that you dont dream anymore? Dear 5)adjudicators, what do you think? C.S. Lewis once said,"You are never too old to dream a new dream." So for our future, please dream And be unrealistic.
Now that I am a university student, my goal is to graduate with excellences. But at the same time, I have a dream deeply rooted in our future. One day, people living in the areas now 6)sweltering with the horror of wars will be able to sit with their families And enjoy their every moment. One day, people from the rich countries are willing to share what they have with those from the poor countries And those from the poor countries will eventually be able to make their own happy living themselves. One day, different cultures in this age of globalization will coexist with tolerance And the unfriendly confrontations among them will be 7)eliminated. One day, the globe will share the dream with me And we will all contribute to making our dream come true. One day, our dream will defeat the reality! Thank you very much.

Ladies and Gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon/evening! Its an immense honor to stand before you today, under the gleaming lights of this magnificent hall, to share a tale as old as time itself – the pursuit of dreams.
In the vast canvas of life, each one of us is an artist, holding the brush of ambition, dipped in the colors of passion. Dreams, oh how they dance in our hearts, whispering tales of possibilities, urging us to leap beyond the boundaries of the known. But its not in the dreaming that our story finds its purpose; its in the daring pursuit, the relentless chase, where we truly discover who we are.
I want to tell you about a young boy named Li Wei. Born in a humble village, his world was limited by the mountains that surrounded him. Yet, within those confines, he nurtured a dream so grand, it could light up the night sky – to become an astronaut. Every star he gazed upon was a beacon, calling out to him, challenging the limits of his reality.
The path he chose was fraught with obstacles, a treacherous climb through the peaks of self-doubt and societal expectations. There were times when the night grew too dark, and the stars seemed to fade, but Li Wei held on, fueled by an unwavering belief in his dream. He studied tirelessly, turning every failure into a stepping stone, every setback into a lesson learned.
Years later, as he stood at the launchpad, suited up, ready to embark on a journey that would make him the first from his village to reach for the cosmos, he realized something profound. The true beauty of his journey wasnt in reaching the stars but in the transformation it had wrought within him. His dream had become a catalyst, igniting not just his own potential but inspiring countless others to look up and dream big.
Dear friends, Li Weis story echoes in each of us. We all carry dreams, some whispered, others shouted from the rooftops. Let us remember that dreams are not just figments of our imagination; they are the compass that guides us through lifes storms, the light that illuminates our darkest hours.
So, I implore you, do not shy away from your dreams, no matter how daunting the journey may seem. Embrace them, nurture them, and let them lead you to places you never thought possible. For in the pursuit of our dreams, we find not just our purpose but the very essence of what makes life worth living.
Thank you.

Ladies and Gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon/evening. It is an immense honor to stand before you today, amidst this sea of eager faces, to share a thought that resonates with every beating heart in this room – the pursuit of dreams.
Dreams, those elusive whispers of our souls, often seem like stars we can never touch. Yet, they illuminate our paths, guiding us through the darkest nights of self-doubt and adversity. I stand here not as a beacon of success but as a humble traveler on this journey, still chasing my own constellation of dreams.
Each one of us carries within a unique flame, a passion that sets our hearts ablaze. Its the spark that ignites the courage to leap into the unknown, to defy the gravity of societal norms and expectations. But why do so many dreams remain unfulfilled? Is it fear of failure, the weight of expectations, or simply a lack of belief in oneself?
Let me remind you of a simple truth: The greatest obstacle between you and your dreams is not the world around you; its the voice inside you that whispers I cant. Silence that voice. Replace it with the resounding declaration, I will try, I will learn, and I will triumph.
The path to our dreams may be winding and steep, strewn with obstacles that threaten to derail our progress. But remember, it is in the struggle that we find strength, in the setbacks that we uncover resilience, and in the pursuit itself that we discover the true meaning of our existence.
Do not be afraid to dream big, for even the sky is not the limit. Our dreams, when coupled with relentless determination and unwavering effort, have the power to transcend boundaries, to reshape realities, and to inspire generations.
In conclusion, let us embark on this adventure with open hearts and minds, embracing every challenge as a stepping stone towards our goals. Let us celebrate not just the destination but also the journey, for it is in the pursuit of our dreams that we truly live.
Thank you.

Ladies and Gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon/evening! Its an immense honor to stand before you today, under the gleaming lights of this magnificent hall, to share a tale as old as time itself – the pursuit of dreams.
We live in a world painted with hues of aspirations, where every heart beats with a unique melody, echoing the desires that define our very existence. Dreams, those celestial compasses, guide us through lifes tumultuous seas, turning the pages of our stories from chapters of uncertainty to volumes of victory.
But why do dreams matter? They matter because they breathe life into our souls, stirring within us a passion that refuses to be silenced. Dreams are not merely figments of our imagination; they are the blueprint of our destinies, whispering possibilities when the world around us whispers impossibilities.
The path to realizing these dreams, however, is seldom paved with gold. More often than it is lined with thorns, setbacks, and moments that test the very fabric of our resolve. Yet, it is precisely in these trying times that the mettle of our character is forged. As the great inventor Thomas Edison once said, "Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time."
So, how then do we navigate this labyrinth of challenges? Firstly, by embracing failure as a teacher, not a tormentor. Each stumble, each fall, is but a lesson in disguise, guiding us closer to our goals. Secondly, by nurturing resilience, for it is the muscle that lifts us from the abyss of defeat and propels us forward. Lastly, by cultivating a community of dreamers – for in unity, there is strength; in shared visions, there is an unwavering belief that the impossible is indeed possible.
To all the dreamers out there, remember this: Your dreams are valid. They deserve to be nurtured, pursued with unwavering conviction. Do not let the noise of the world drown out the symphony of your heart. Stand tall, face the winds of adversity, and let your dreams carry you to heights unseen.
In conclusion, let us embark on this journey fearlessly, armed with the courage to dream and the will to make those dreams a reality. For in the words of Harriet Tubman, "Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world."
Thank you.

Ladies and Gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon/evening. It is an immense honor to stand before you today, amidst this sea of eager faces, to share a few thoughts on a subject that resonates deeply within every human heart – the pursuit of dreams.
Our lives are a canvas, each day a brushstroke, painting a picture unique to our individual journeys. Dreams, those celestial beacons, guide us through the labyrinth of choices, illuminating the path towards fulfillment. But dreams, much like stars, often seem distant, their light faint against the vastness of life’s challenges.
Why then, do we chase them? Why do we dare to dream when the road ahead is paved with uncertainty? The answer lies in the very essence of humanity – our capacity for hope, resilience, and the insatiable thirst for growth.
I’d like to share with you three key principles that I believe are integral to the pursuit of dreams:
First, courage. Courage is not the absence of fear, but the decision to act despite it. It takes courage to step out of our comfort zones, to defy the voices of doubt, both internal and external. Embrace your fears; let them fuel your determination.
Second, perseverance. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and dreams seldom materialize overnight. Setbacks are inevitable, but they are not endpoints. Each obstacle faced, each failure encountered, is a lesson disguised, a stepping stone to success. As Thomas Edison once said, "I have not failed. Ive just found 10,000 ways that wont work."
Lastly, passion. Passion is the spark that ignites the fire within. It is the unwavering belief in the value of our dreams, the fuel that keeps us going when the journey seems endless. Find what sets your soul ablaze and chase it relentlessly.
In conclusion, dear friends, let us not shy away from dreaming big, from aiming for the skies. For even if we do not reach the stars, we will undoubtedly land among them, our lives enriched by the pursuit itself. Let us have the courage to start, the perseverance to continue, and the passion to never give up. Our dreams, however daunting, are worth every effort, for they shape us into who we are meant to be.
Thank you.

Ladies and Gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon/evening! Its an immense honor to stand before you today,探討一個永恒而鼓舞人心的話題:追求夢想。In the vast tapestry of life, dreams weave the golden threads that guide us through the labyrinth of challenges, illuminating our path with hope and purpose.
Each one of us harbors a unique dream, a vision of what our hearts yearn to achieve. Some dream of scientific breakthroughs that will reshape humanitys future, others of artistic expressions that touch souls, and yet others of social changes that heal wounds and bridge divides. Dreams, in their essence, are the fuel that propels us forward, turning the mundane into the extraordinary.
But the journey to fulfill these dreams is far from easy. Its a road paved with setbacks, rejections, and self-doubt. We may stumble and fall, question our capabilities, and even contemplate放棄。Yet, its precisely in these moments of adversity that our dreams find their true meaning. They challenge us to dig deep within ourselves, to discover reservoirs of resilience and perseverance we never knew existed.
Let me share with you a quote from Harriet Tubman, a beacon of courage who defied all odds to lead hundreds to freedom. She said, "Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world."
To pursue our dreams, we must first embrace the art of possibility. Believe not just in the dream itself but in your ability to make it a reality. Surround yourself with positivity, seek mentors who inspire, and never shy away from hard work. Remember, the greatest achievements often arise from the ashes of failure.
Furthermore, let your dreams evolve. As we grow, our perspectives shift, and so too might our aspirations. Embrace this evolution fearlessly, for it signifies growth and a deeper understanding of oneself.
And finally, do not forget to pay it forward. Once youve tasted the sweet nectar of success, become a beacon for others, guiding them along their own paths, igniting their dreams with the flame of yours.
In conclusion, dear friends, our dreams are not just personal aspirations; they are the collective whispers of a better tomorrow. Let us embark on this journey fearlessly, armed with the courage to dream, the will to persevere, and the heart to inspire.
Thank you.

Dreams, those silent whispers of the soul, are not merely figments of our imagination; they are the blueprint of what we can become, the compass that guides us through lifes tumultuous seas.
Id like to take you on a journey, one that transcends borders and time zones, into the heart of every dreamer. Imagine a world where the word impossible is but a fleeting shadow, dwarfed by the towering mountains of determination and resilience.
Each one of us carries within a spark, a unique gift waiting to ignite into a flame that illuminates our path. Yet, often, fear, doubt, and the comfort of the familiar extinguish this spark before it has a chance to shine. We must remember that dreams, like delicate flowers, require nurturing – patience in the face of adversity, courage to take the first step, and perseverance when the road ahead seems bleak.
The story of Thomas Edison, who failed thousands of times before successfully inventing the light bulb, teaches us that failure is not the opposite of success, but a vital part of its journey. Each setback, each no, brings us closer to that resounding yes that will change our lives forever.
So, I implore you, dear friends, do not shy away from your dreams. Embrace them with open hearts, for they hold the key to unlocking a life filled with purpose and fulfillment. Let not the fear of the unknown or the judgment of others deter you from chasing the horizon where your dreams lie.
In conclusion, as we stand at the precipice of our own destinies, let us remember that the greatest tragedy in life is not that our dreams remain unfulfilled, but that we never dared to dream at all. Dream big, work hard, and most importantly, believe – because the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.
Thank you.
